Chalcedone
General information
Chalcedony is actually a group of cryptocrystalline quartzes with a fibrous structure. Some stones that fall within this category are for example carnelian, a red to dark brown variety, the green, transparent prasem, onyx, with white and black bands, the apple-green chrysoprase and heliotrope, a green variety with reddish spots. When narrow bands of different colors run across the stone is called agate. Some other types of chalcedony are for example: sardonyx, blue chalcedony, red chalcedony, pink chalcedony and dendrite chalcedony.
Effect
Chalcedony has a strong influence on communication. Both on the ability to listen and on eloquence, the ability to express yourself well, diplomacy and language skills. The stone also makes you sociable, optimistic, cheerful, creative, open, enthusiastic and promotes solidarity in groups. Chalcedony gives self-insight, self-confidence and thus promotes the ability to break down resistance and accept change. It has a positive effect on the memory and calms in stressful moments and is therefore a good stone to wear during exams. Physically, chalcedony has a cleansing, cooling and fever-reducing effect, is anti-inflammatory, lowers blood pressure and boosts the immune system. The stone has a positive effect on the lungs, colds, breathing, the lymphatic system, the blood and circulation, fluid retention and on insulin production and therefore diabetes. It strengthens the maternal feeling and stimulates milk production during breastfeeding.

Chalcedony can be cleansed and charged in all ways.
Application
Chalcedony can be worn on or near the body. The stone works best when worn for extended periods (red chalcedony should not be worn continuously for long periods, as it can hinder nutrient absorption). The stone can be placed on a relevant area of the body for a stronger effect.

Depending on color. Blue chalcedony is associated with the throat chakra (5th).
