MALACHITE

General information

Malachite is yellow-green to black-green and is translucent with a vitreous to satin luster.

Effect

Malachite is a powerful stone. It protects against radiation, pollution, accidents, and other sources of negative energy and danger. The stone brings emotional balance and stability and increases resilience. It reduces anxiety and can bring repressed feelings and experiences to the surface. This helps to make positive changes and release blockages, inhibitions, and negative behavioral patterns. Malachite enhances empathy and understanding and encourages healthy and equal (friendly) relationships. Physically, it has a detoxifying effect, lowers blood pressure, and strengthens the immune system and the body's self-healing capacity. In addition, malachite can help with asthma, arthritis and osteoarthritis, bone fractures, epilepsy, and cardiovascular problems. The stone is particularly suitable for women because it has a positive effect on the female reproductive organs, (pre)menstrual complaints, female sexual problems (especially those with an emotional or traumatic background), and supports childbirth.

N.B.: Malachite may, in rare cases, cause mild heart palpitations; then remove it immediately and replace it with rose quartz or rhodonite.

Care

Because malachite absorbs a lot of negative energy, the stone must be cleansed regularly. Do not clean the stone with water or salt, as these can damage it. Malachite can lose its color under the influence of (bright) sunlight.

Applications

Malachite can be worn on or near the body.
The stone can be placed on a spot on the body where its effects are needed.
It can be placed on the solar plexus to absorb negative emotions (purify thoroughly afterward!).
Malachite can be processed into a very powerful elixir. Therefore, start with a very low dose or limit it to external use. When making the elixir, the stone should not come into contact with water, as this will make it toxic.
